Former President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayyoom has been admitted at Indhira Ghandhi Memorial Hospital.
The former president who was detained at Maafushi Detention Center was taken to the hospital for a check up today. He did not request for a medical checkup and he is not known to have any health problems.
At the hospital he underwent some tests at the cardiac center of IGMH. After that he was admitted at the hospital since further tests needs to be conducted.
According to sources, the former president was not even informed that he was being taken to the hospital and it came as a surprise to him when he was taken to IGMH.
