Maldives Correctional Service has stated that former President Yameen was taken to IGMH for treatment upon his request.
MCS stated that they cannot reveal the information about his treatment because it is private information.
According to some sources the former president consulted a cardiologist at the hospital.
Former President Yameen is currently detained at Maafushi after the PG requested to detain him until his trial is over. The PG is charging him with money laundering and providing false information to an investigative authority.
