Al-Hafiz Sulthan Mohammed Latheef is an 18 year old Imam who leads the prayer in three different mosques of Male’ this Ramadan.
Except Salat-Al Isha, Sulthan works as Masjidh Al-Furqan. He leads the Isha prayer and Tharaaweekh prayer in Islamic Center. He leads the night prayers in Masjidh Al-Thaiba.
Sulthan is the son of former Imam of Islamic Center Sheikh Mohammed Latheef. His advice to other young people is to serve the religion as much as they can. He believes that Maldives should bring foreign Imams as there are capable Maldivians now and they just need the opportunity.
