Judicial Service Commission of the Maldives has stated that Justice Abdullah Didi will remain suspended, despite the Supreme Court order on revoking the suspension by the JSC.
In a meeting held by JSC last night, the commission decided the Supreme Court verdict obstructs the duty of JSC and hence the commission’s earlier decision to suspend Abdullah Didi will remain.
Among the members of JSC, 5 members voted in favor of this decision.
However, the Supreme Court ordered the JSC not take any action against Justice Abdullah Didi.
