Dr.Farzana Khathoon has passed away. She was in a coma since last Ramadan and passed away in a hospital in the UK.
Dr.Farzana is the wife of Dr.Mohammed Waheed the first ENT doctor of Maldives. She served as a doctor for more than 20 years in the Maldives.
She was born in Pakistan and until she retired 6 years ago, worked at the Thalassemia Center of Maldives as the senior registrar in medicine. She received state pension in 2002 for serving the government for 20 years.
After retirement she lived in the UK and visited Maldives from time to time. She visited Maldives in last Ramadan and soon after her return to the UK, she got into a coma.
Her husband Dr.Waheed passed away 15 years ago. The two of them has 3 children.
