Adam Azim the managing director of MWSC has stated that he does not see any reason why anyone should go and defend the judges who were oppressors.
He said that the judiciary can be reformed only be removing such judges. He said that no one should forget that these judges oppressed many people.
Adam Azim is the younger brother of MP Mohammed Nazim who was jailed for 11 years. He was jailed even before the police investigation was complete. It was later proven that the case had nothing to do with Nazim.
Many people believe that the Maldivian judiciary is in need of reforms as cases of politicians are hurried through the court and swift verdicts are issued.
