Sheikh Ali Zaid has stated that he stands against dissolving the Islamic University of Maldives.
He said that the Maldives should have an Islamic University and that is the greatest honor an Islamic country can have. He also said that he is sure that President Solih will take care of the matter.
Some parliament members who spoke at the parliament yesterday said that the students are close minded as a result of IUM and the students will be open minded by changing IUM into a faculty of Maldives National University.
