In the preliminary hearing of the money laundering trial of former President Yameen, the judge gave 5 days to the ex-president to submit defence witnesses.
In the hearing held today, the defence submitted 5 objections, however the judge overruled it and decided to proceed with the hearing.
Judge Hailam gave 5 days to submit the defence witnesses and stated that the next hearing will be on 5th August.
President Yameen’s trial is the first trial in Maldives to be telecasted live.
