A VFS visa application centre has been opened in the Maldives.
Through this centre, Maldivians can apply for Schengen visa to visit Germany and Czech Republic.
The centre was officially opened by Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid and Ambassador of Germany to Maldives Jorn Rohde and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Maldives Milan Hovorka.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the center Minister Shahid thanked the government of Germany for trying to establish the visa center in Maldives. The minister also thanked the government of Czech republic for their support towards the initiative. The minister noted that this reflects the growing times of friendship and cooperation between the countries.
