Health minister Ameen has stated that the two patients who were tested positive for covid-19 are in stable condition.
He said that in a press conference held tonight. “The two people who were tested positive for corona virus are to foreigners. Also contact tracing work is going on in that island. There is nothing to worry. We advice the public not to panic” said the minister.
In addition the minister said that the 4 staffs quarantined from Summer Island resort are being tested now and the results will be announced soon. He said that since two people were tested positive for the virus the alert level in Kuredu is orange and the alert level of the whole country is orange.
