Mohammed Mabrook the spokesperson of the taskforce formed by President Solih to manage the covid-19 pandemic has stated that the government of Maldives is talking with the government of China to get medical assistance.
Speaking at a press conference held tonight Mabrook confirmed it while the Chinese ambassador to the Maldives Zhang Lizhong also tweeted saying that both governments are talking and discussing on ways to cooperate on this matter.
Even though covid-19 originated in China, the government of China has drastic measures to contain the virus. China has largely controlled the virus and received praise from WHO and the international community.
