The Maldives’ newly designated Non-Resident Ambassador to Denmark, Geela Ali, has formally assumed her diplomatic duties following the presentation of her credentials to His Majesty King Frederik X.
The credential ceremony took place on 25 February at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, where Ambassador Geela Ali presented her Letters of Credence to the Danish monarch in accordance with diplomatic protocol.
During the royal audience, the ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to the Government and people of Denmark. She underscored the Maldives’ intention to further deepen engagement and broaden cooperation in areas of shared interest between the two nations.
Ambassador Geela Ali was accompanied at the ceremony by her spouse, Abdulla Mushrif, along with Hassan Nawaaf, Second Secretary at the Embassy of the Maldives in Belgium.
