A delegation from Türkiye’s Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has paid a courtesy visit to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to discuss ways of further strengthening relations between the Maldives and Türkiye in the areas of tourism and trade.
The delegation met with President Muizzu this morning at the President’s Official Residence, Muliaage. The delegation was led by AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman.
The meeting focused primarily on further strengthening the close and friendly relations between the Maldives and Türkiye, while exploring ways to enhance cooperation in tourism and trade.
Discussions also covered opportunities to deepen cultural ties and strengthen people-to-people connections between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing confidence that the longstanding and close relations between the Maldives and Türkiye would continue to grow stronger in the future.
