Registrations are now open for the 13th
edition of the Maldives Finance Forum, which will take place on 14 November 2026 at DusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives. Organised by the Maldives Pension Office, this year’s Forum will be held under the theme “Green Finance: Unlocking Sustainable Investment and Financial Security in the Maldives.”
The Forum will bring together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, investors, development partners and local and international experts to examine one central question: how the Maldives can mobilise long-term sustainable capital to strengthen its financial and economic resilience.
Investors, lenders and regulators increasingly treat climate risk as financial risk, and this is beginning to shape the terms on which countries and institutions access long-term capital. Discussions will look at what it will take to build a credible green finance market in the Maldives, which instruments and market conditions suit the country’s stage of development, and how sustainable investment can be directed towards renewable energy, climate-resilient infrastructure and the blue economy.
As the country’s largest institutional investor and a key social security provider, the Pension Office has a direct stake in this agenda. The retirement security of its members depends on a resilient domestic economy and on investment opportunities that can deliver sound returns over the long term.
For participants, the Forum offers an opportunity to gain insights from local and international experts, exchange perspectives with key stakeholders and explore emerging opportunities in sustainable finance relevant to the Maldives.
Interested participants can register for Maldives Finance Forum 2026 through the official Forum website at www.financeforum.mv.
