ޓެރަރިޒަމްގެ މައްސަލަތައް ޙައްލުކުރަން މުޅި ދުނިޔެ ބައިވެރިވާ މަހާސިންތާއަކަށް އިންޑިއާގެ ބޮޑުވަޒީރު ނަރެންދުރަ މޯދީ ގޮވާލައްވައިފިއެވެ. މިފަދަ މަހާސިންތާއަކަށް މޯދީ ގޮވައިލެއްވީ ދެވަނަ ދައުރަށް އިންތިޚާބުވެވަޑައިގަތުމަށްފަހު ޤައުމުން ބޭރަށް ކުރެއްވި ފުރަތަމަ ދަތުރުފުޅުގައި ރާއްޖޭގެ ރައްޔިތުންގެ މަޖިލީހުގައި ކުރެއްވި ތަޤްރީރުގައެވެ. 

މޯދީ ވިދާޅުވީ ޓެރަރިޒަމްގެ މައްސަލައަކީ މިހާރު ވަކި ޤައުމަކަށް ކުރިމަތިވެފައިވާ މައްސަލައެއް ނޫން ކަމަށާއި މުޅި އިންސާނިއްޔަތަށް ކުރިމަތިވެފައިވާ އެންމެ ބޮޑު މައްސަލަ ކަމަށެވެ. 

މޯދީ ވަނީ މޫސުމަށް އަންނަމުންދާ ބަދަލުތަކުގެ މައްސލަ ޙައްލުކުރުމަށް ދުނިޔޭގެ ފެންވަރުގައި ބޮޑެތި  ބައްދަލުވުންތައް ބާއްވަމުން އަންނައިރު ޓެރަރިޒަމްގެ މައްސލަ ޙައްލުކުރުމަށް ދުނިޔޭގެ ފެންވަރުގައި އެފަދަ ބައްދަލުވުންތައް ނުބާއްވާ ސަބަބާއިމެދު ސުވާލުކުރައްވައިފައެވެ. 

މޯދީ ވިދާޅުވީ ޓެރަރިޒަމްގެ މައްސަލަތައް ހުއްޓުވުމަށްޓަކައި "ބައްދަން ހުރި ލޯވަޅުތައް ބަންދުކރުމަށްޓަކައި" މިފަދަ ބައްދަލުވުމެއްގެ މުހިންމުކަންވެސް ފާހަގަކުރައްވައިފައެވެ. އަދި ޓެރަރިސްޓުންގެ އަތުގައި އަމިއްލަ ބޭންކްތަކާއި ފެކްޓްރީތައް ނެތްއިރު އެމީހުންނަށް ފައިސާ އާއި ހަތިޔާރު ލިބޭ ގޮތްތަކާއިމެދުވެސް ސުވާލު އުފައްދަވައިފައެވެ. "އެމީހުންނަށް ފައިސާ އާއި ހަތިޔާރު ނުލިބިގެން އުޅޭކަސް ނުޖެހޭ. މި ވަސީލަތްތައް ލިބެނީ ކޮންތާކުން؟ ކޮން ބައަކުތަ ސްޕޮންސަރކުރަނީ؟ އެންމެ ބޮޑު ނުރައްކަލަކީ އެއީ." 

މޯދީ ވަނީ ހައްދުފަހަނައަޅައި ދިއުން ހުއްޓުމަށްވެސް ވާހަކަފުޅު ދައްކަވައިފައެވެ. މިމޭރުމުން މޯދީ ވާހަކަފުޅު ދެއްކެވިއިރު ބީޖޭޕީ ވެރިކަމަށް އައިފަހުން ހިންދޫންގެ ހަރުކަށިކަން ހައްދުފަހަނަޅައި ގޮސްފައިވާކަން ފާހަގަކުރެވެއެވެ.

Terrorism is a very big challenge of our times. This is not a challenge faced by one nation or region only. It is a challenge for all humankind.

Not a day goes by when the horrific face of terrorism does not show itself, and takes an innocent life somewhere. Terrorists do not own banks. They don’t have their own mints, nor armament factories. But neither money nor weapons seem to be in short supply for them. Where do they get these from? Who provides them the facilities they need? State sponsorship of terrorism is the biggest threat. It is indeed extremely unfortunate that even now some people resort to the fallacy of distinguishing between the so-called ‘good’ and ‘bad’ terrorists. We have lost enough time debating these artificial differences. It is now tolerable no more. All forces supporting humanity must come together to effectively fight terrorism. The litmus test for today’s leadership is the way they deal with the dark forces of terrorism and radicalisation. The international community has actively arranged for global Convention and many conferences on the grave threat of climate change. Why not on the issue of terrorism? I call upon all global institutions and all leading nations to organise a global conference on terrorism within a stipulated timeframe, so that there can be meaningful and result-oriented discussions for plugging the loopholes that terrorists and their supporters exploit. If we delay action any further, our current and future generations will never forgive us.
